Main focus

; The graduate will be able to: – Distinguish between business processes and apply the appropriate technologies, platforms and tools for digital transformation. – Apply business development and innovation methodologies appropriately. – Build data visualisations that help decision-making. – Identify the main threats in the different fields of application and assess and manage the associated risks. – Compare existing security and privacy services, mechanisms and tools, and know how to apply, implement or integrate them in different environments or scenarios, whether conventional or critical, and in accordance with current regulations, standards and technologies. – Apply mathematical, statistical and artificial intelligence techniques to model, design and develop applications, services, intelligent systems and knowledge-based systems. – Analyse data and extract the relevant information. – Review technologies for the implementation of data management and exploitation systems. – Differentiate and adapt IoT development tools, protocols and platforms. – Design, configure, implement and evaluate cloud computing solutions. – Integrate technologies related to industrial computing and communications to improve production processes. – Design automation and robotisation projects in the industrial field. – Demonstrate knowledge of computer-integrated manufacturing techniques for the development of a new commercial product. – Apply human-robot and robot-robot interaction in collaborative robotics. – Examine the different stages that make up the value chain of the sector and its quality control mechanisms, and evaluate the potential for improving the efficiency of its processes through the application of methodologies that enable digital transformation. – Identify, analyse and integrate the different sources of data generated in the company and apply them to the decision-making process. – Identify and analyse the technical and administrative procedures necessary for the preparation and implementation of digital transformation projects for companies in the sector. – Critically analyse the evolution of digital transformation within companies to creatively support technological innovation. – Plan the different stages of project development in the field of digital transformation of companies in the sector, including design, drafting and signing, if necessary.

Competences

Students that have completed the second cycle have the following competencies: – Have demonstrated knowledge and understanding that is founded upon a basis or opportunity for originality in developing and/or applying ideas, often within a research context. – Can apply their acquired knowledge and understanding, and problem solving abilities in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their field of study. – Have the ability to integrate knowledge and handle complexity, and formulate judgments with incomplete or limited information, but that include reflecting on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments. – Can communicate their conclusions, and the knowledge and rationale underpinning these, to specialist and non-specialist audiences clearly and unambiguously. – Have the learning skills to allow them to continue to study in a manner that may be largely self-directed or autonomous.
