Main focus
; Graduates of this master’s programme will have the knowledge and skills to do the following: – Understand and apply the principles of multiculturalism in real situations related to the fields of study (education, law, health, administration and economics), develop, implement, and evaluate plans and intervention programs that address cultural diversity. – Design, implement, and evaluate research projects associated with the fields of study. – Form and justify personal opinions, taking a critical stance regarding responses to cultural diversity. – Make decisions in practical situations.
Competences
Students that have completed the second cycle have the following competencies: – Have demonstrated knowledge and understanding that is founded upon a basis or opportunity for originality in developing and/or applying ideas, often within a research context. – Can apply their acquired knowledge and understanding, and problem solving abilities in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their field of study. – Have the ability to integrate knowledge and handle complexity, and formulate judgments with incomplete or limited information, but that include reflecting on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments. – Can communicate their conclusions, and the knowledge and rationale underpinning these, to specialist and non-specialist audiences clearly and unambiguously. – Have the learning skills to allow them to continue to study in a manner that may be largely self-directed or autonomous.

Access to this Master’s degree programme is granted to holders of the following Spanish official university degrees, and to holders of equivalent degrees from other education systems: – Grados (Bachelor’s Degrees) in Social and Cultural Anthropology, Environmental Sciences, Political Science and Public Administration, Law, Economics, Early Childhood Education, Primary School Education, Social Pedagogy, Nursing, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Pharmacy, Philosophy, Physiotherapy, Business Management, Public Administration, History, Comparative Literature, Medicine, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Pedagogy, Psychology, Labour Relations and Human Resources, Sociology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Translation and Interpreting, and Tourism. – Previous university degree programmes similar to the above mentioned Grados.
