Main focus

; Graduates of this master’s programme will have an in-depth knowledge of psychological processes and their neural foundations as well as of the principal methodologies of evaluation and rehabilitation in Cognitive, Affective, and Behavioural Neuroscience. They will be aware of cognitive processing disorders as well as their neural foundations and be able to apply this knowledge to fields such as Adult and Child Neuropsychology, Neuroscience, Ergonomy, and Education. They will have a solid understanding of evaluation and research techniques as well as data collection and analysis techniques in Psychology, Neuropsychology, and Neuroscience. Graduates will have the capacity to make critical judgements regarding methodological quality in basic and applied research studies. Finally, graduates will also possess the necessary linguistic skills to assimilate and communicate scientific information in English.

Competences

Students that have completed the second cycle have the following competencies: – Have demonstrated knowledge and understanding that is founded upon a basis or opportunity for originality in developing and/or applying ideas, often within a research context. – Can apply their acquired knowledge and understanding, and problem solving abilities in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their field of study. – Have the ability to integrate knowledge and handle complexity, and formulate judgments with incomplete or limited information, but that include reflecting on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments. – Can communicate their conclusions, and the knowledge and rationale underpinning these, to specialist and non-specialist audiences clearly and unambiguously. – Have the learning skills to allow them to continue to study in a manner that may be largely self-directed or autonomous.

Access to this Master’s degree programme is granted to holders of the following Spanish official university degrees, and to holders of equivalent degrees from other education systems: – Graduado/Licenciado (Bachelor’s Degree) in Psychology. – Graduado /Licenciado (Bachelor’s Degree) in Medicine, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Educational Psychology, with some training in Psychology or Neuroscience.
