Main focus
; This master’s programme provides students with the following knowledge and skills: – The ability to identify strategic and communication problems in organisations and provide useful responses. – The ability to collect information about business processes management by using emerging technologies. – The skills and abilities related to support systems for the different aspects of the process, such as collaboration, workflow, information and content management systems, project management and enterprise resource planning (ERP). – An in-depth awareness of business intelligence and its relevance in decision-making support processes for business. – The ability to use specific technologies for business solutions, namely, Balanced Scorecard, OLAP systems, data warehouses, and data mining. – The use of specific tools for modelling and simulation of business processes. – The ability to engage in business process deployment using Web services and mobile applications for innovative management based on cloud and grid computing.
Competences
Students that have completed the second cycle have the following competencies: – Have demonstrated knowledge and understanding that is founded upon a basis or opportunity for originality in developing and/or applying ideas, often within a research context. – Can apply their acquired knowledge and understanding, and problem solving abilities in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their field of study. – Have the ability to integrate knowledge and handle complexity, and formulate judgments with incomplete or limited information, but that include reflecting on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments. – Can communicate their conclusions, and the knowledge and rationale underpinning these, to specialist and non-specialist audiences clearly and unambiguously. – Have the learning skills to allow them to continue to study in a manner that may be largely self-directed or autonomous.

Access to this Master’s degree programme is granted to holders of a Spanish official university degree of Licenciado/Graduado (Bachelor’s Degree) or Engineer in fields related to the research lines of this programme, and to holders of equivalent degrees from other education systems. Applicants must have an English B1 level or higher, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
